O Holy Night by the Ventures -- from their album "Christmas Joy" This eleventh Christmas light show video was "shot" with our new Sony HD Handycam from atop a 15-foot high stepladder. This video view shows most of the front/West side of our house and yard from our neighbor's house across Adams Street. There are about 40,000 LEDs (out of our total 60,000+ LEDs) "flashdancing" or "throbbing" to the rhythm of the Ventures beautiful instrumental "O Holy Night." Because we Meyer's think that the Ventures are the best instrumental rock band ever, we have included their lively, upbeat music in four of our Holiday videos!! Nut Rocker by B. Bumble & the Stingers. This is the original version of Nut Rocker, released in 1962 and that became a #1 hit (and the popular introductory tune for the Boston Bruins ice hockey team until 1982.) This instrumental was inspired by Tchaikovsky's ballet, "The Nutcracker". In the last few years, "covers" of this fast, lively instrumental track have been done by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO). You now know the version preferred by the Meyers!! This tenth Xmas video was hand-held videographed with our Sony Handycam HDR-CX110, from the top of a 15-foot high stepladder. The view is primarily of the north side of our house from a neighbor's yard across Fifth Street. Some of the décor items you might notice are: 3 Leaping Arches (two on the roof); 12 Mini-Xmas trees; 10 twig trees; a roof Star; a fading Comet with Tracer Tail; 2 "Christmas Cards;" a Light Tower; a Sparkle Ball; 2 Window Transparencies (dark and underexposed;) a Candy Cane Animotion Disk; and a "squatty" Snowflake Tree.
