LOCAL NEWS

After much consideration with the Coronavirus, the Kimball FFA has chosen to cancel the Kimball FFA Alumni Progress Show scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, June 20th and 21st. It was a difficult decision to come to, with many heavy hearts agreeing it was for the best.

They know this year is shaping up to be hard for everyone. While they love having all of you join them over Fathers Day Weekend, they value the health and well being of everyone involved too much. They made this decision to keep all of you safe during this unprecedented time.

Please know that they appreciate all of the support they have received in the 17 years. They put this show on for the future of our industry and we love watching everyone shine. We will be back in the years to come.

They hopefully will see you in 2021. From all of their families to yours: stay safe, stay strong, stay healthy.

This Annual event is canceled and it will return next year on Saturday and Sunday, June 19th and 20th, 2021.

Well, Governor Pete Ricketts has ordered all Hair and nail salons to be shutdown until at least Thursday, April 30th. So as a result, this applies to the following businesses: Shear Images, a shear touch of downtown studio, Ducktails, Jennifers Barbershop along with any other salons in the community. He has also recommended people to stay home to stay healthy for 21 days.

Four New COVID-19 Cases in Scotts Bluff County Bring Panhandle Total Count to 21 Unified Command confirms four additional confirmed COVID-19 cases in Scotts Bluff County. Two are females, one in her teens and one in her 60s; and two males, one in his 20s and one in his 40s. They are close contacts to two of the recent positives. One person is hospitalized, the others are recovering at home. Everyone that is identified as a close contact of those testing positive will be notified by public health and will be placed in quarantine for 14 days since their last exposure. Any additional information will be released when investigations are completed. Testing Results March 2-April 7, 2020 Total Tests Conducted in the Panhandle: 282 • Positive: 21 • Scotts Bluff County: Ten Cases o Three have recovered and are out of isolation • Kimball County: Ten Cases • Cheyenne County: One case All Panhandle residents are encouraged to Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected. Main Street Market has generously offered to help Kimball Public School continue feeding our community children.
