Star Spangled Banner -- This brief video begins with a view of our garage door window with 8 two-input stars hanging inside. These window stars consist of 1,120 LEDs which are NOT synchronized with the patriotic music. They do a slow dance to their own independent beat with the use of a chaser control (for the upper white star) and 7 fader adapters used for the remaining stars. The subpar optical quality of this vid is probably due to the fact that it was "shot" during a rainstorm/drizzle. The audio quality would be better if we hadn't done the videography so close to our front pondless waterfall feature. But perhaps you might like the sound of running water going down a rapids mixed with our National Anthem? Or, would that be unpatriotic? For informative and comparison purposes, we will conclude coverage of our patriotic light show by uploading an eighth video done by a PROFESSIONAL photojournalist from the Scottsbluff (KOTA Territory -- KDUH) TV Station. Remember, you can retrieve our YouTube site by searching with the phrase: Kimball ne led art By the end of August, it will be time for the Meyers to be making plans & preparations for a Spooktakular Halloween Musical Light Show! We can't wait! This is so much fun!!

Marine Hymn -- this short patriotic video starts out with a 20-second glimpse of the 33 red, white, & blue LED hand-made ornaments that are hung 40 to 50 feet high in our north locust tree. Each "blossom-of-light" ornament has a 70-count string of LEDs and, therefore, the total number of arboreal Light-O-Rama controlled LEDs is 2,310 (33 x 70) light-emitting diodes. These homemade tree ornaments have been hanging constantly in the locust tree for over 3 years and are a testament to the durability of LEDs. Not only are LEDs at least 75% more energy efficient than traditional incandescent lamps, but they have a super-long "life" since they are nearly indestructible and weather proof. Our LEDs have survived 60+ mile-per-hour winds during blizzards and severe thunderstorms (with golf-ball sized hail stones.) With these very durable lights, there are no fragile, hollow glass bulbs to break and LEDs are solid-state, computer-chip lighting with no delicate filaments to break or burn out. There are no fire hazards from overloaded circuits or hot bulbs. Buy some! -- they will literally pay for themselves with 2 years of use! Scientific experts say that LEDs represent the greatest breakthrough in lighting technology since Edison's invention of the incandescent bulb!! Can you believe that some local residents call us the "crazy light couple" or the "Clark Griswolds" of Kimball?? One last 4th of July video coming soon -- with a panoramic view of our front yard. Semper Fidelis (Always Faithful) -- The Official March & Motto of the Marines 6000+ Red, White, and Blue LEDS Gone Patriotic, Wild & Crazy!! The newly-added rooftop Aerial Burst (660 LEDs) is nothing but a more elaborate Light Storm Disc (LSD) with a propulsion trail/tail. This simulated pyrotechnic device is controlled by 16 Light-O-Rama channels/inputs and took more than a day to fabricate and about four hours to program its LEDs to the march's beat. On an average, this animated "artillery shell" only uses approximately 33 watts of power. All the LEDs (6,112) that you can see in this video are using no more than 314 watts! However, if all these lights were the "old-fashioned" mini incandescent bulbs AND were ON STEADY, the power usage would be 8 times more or about 2,500 watts!! Hence, the PRIMARY reason why we have switched over to using mostly (98%) energy-efficient, Energy-Star-rated LEDs! Go Green!! There are a few more videos to come, showing 3,430 ADDITIONAL patriotic LEDs! Thanks for watching our YouTube videos. Easily reach us again by Googling: kimball ne led art
