Techno Medley of "Little Drummer Boy," "Joy to the World," "Do You Hear What I Hear?" and "Greensleeves" (What Child is This?) This second video of our current Christmas Musical Light Show is another panorama of our entire highly-lit, colorful yard. We have tried to emphasize the fifty-two new, large ornamental stars and snowflakes on our front spruce tree. We hope you can excuse the neighbor's black labs that seem to enjoy "singing" to our X-mas music. There is also a problem with some static noise and interference! "Deck the Halls" & "O Holy Night" by The Ventures This first Christmas video was panned and zoomed from the back of our slowly moving pickup. During the last month we've added more LED-lighted props -- mainly homemade coroplast stars and snowflakes plus Carol's handcrafted twig trees. Our total of LED lights has now reached 100,800 "bulbs." To hook all these lights with our nine Light-O-Rama controllers requires over 7 ½ miles of extension cords that form and electrical "spider web" over our entire large corner lot, garage, and house!! Over the last twenty years, our hobby has magically transformed into an addictive/obsessive compulsion that's fun for us and pleases thousands of spectators!! "Thriller" by Michael Jackson and Vincent Price This third Halloween Video was shot from across the street and with a little panning allows the observer to obtain a panoramic view of our entire front (grave) yard. Over the last three years, "Thriller" has been the second most popular tune (after "Ghostbusters") with our audiences -- including trick-or-treaters and their parents. Other popular songs/tunes we have used include: "This is Halloween"; "Tubular Bells" (Exorcist theme); "The Blob"; "Bad Moon Rising"; Monster Mash"; "Twilight Theme"; and "Halloween Theme." "Ghostbusters" by Ray Parker Jr This second Halloween Video features the song most popular with our viewers, spectators, and trick-or-treaters. Unlike the first video that used panning and a moving camera, this video is a stationary "close-up" that was "shot" from under the front arbor -- using it as a visually active frame. The video primarily features the seven "rooftop singers" of "Ghostbusters's" lyrics. Thus the emphasis in the video is on the Musical Light Show and its "vocalists" and not on the numerous spooky "scarecrows" in the surrounding cemetery. This first Halloween video for 2013 was panned from the back of a slowly-moving pickup to record and document a panoramic view of a portion of this year's Halloween Musical Light Show. This video primarily shows most of our 100+ staked "scare crows" that border our corner-lot front yard (graveyard/cemetery) and water feature. Sixteen of our commercial "critters" are animatronic and respond in various scary ways to external auditory and motion stimuli. Almost all the members of our "creature-feature" have lit-up eyes most of which slowly fade off and on or flash. The heights of our spook menagerie vary from 2 to 17 feet. In a few days, we will be publishing a few more Halloween videos that will emphasize popular tunes or songs and the speech mimicry of our eleven rooftop "singers." "Papillon" Seasons of Giverny This mobile, video Garden Tour depicts our street-side garden's appearance at the peak of blooming "flower power." The primary "floral stars" now are the trailing petunias, daylilies, gloriosa daisies, impatiens, hosta, garden phlox, zinnias, Russian sage, delphinium, salvia, veronica, foxglove, and geraniums.
