SEVERE WEATHER ALERT: Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 10:00pm.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Kimball County in the Panhandle of Nebraska, Western Cheyenne County in the Panhandle of Nebraska, Southern Banner county in the Panhandle of Nebraska, Southwestern Morrill County in the Panhandle of Nebraska and Southeastern Laramie County in Southeastern Wyoming until 10:00 PM.

At 9:27 PM, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles southwest of Harrisburg to near Panorama Point, moving east at 60 mph.

Hazards are 60 mph wind gusts. 

Source is radar indicated. 

Impacts are to expect damage to roofs, siding and trees.

Locations impacted include Kimball, Pine Bluffs, Potter, Dix, Oliver Campground, Oliver Reservoir, Kimball Airport, Panorama Point and Bushnell.

This includes the following highways:
Interstate 80 in Wyoming between mile markers 398 and 402 and Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 1 and 47.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

SEVERE WEATHER ALERT: Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect until 6:00 PM.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southern Kimball County in the Panhandle of Nebraska until 6:00 PM.

At 5:18 PM, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles east of Panorama Point, or 18 miles southwest of Kimball, moving east at 35 mph.

Hazards are half-dollar size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

Impacts are hail damage to vehicles is expected. expect wind damage to roofs, siding and trees.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of Southern Kimball County.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

SEVERE WEATHER ALERT: Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect until 5:15pm.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Northwestern Kimball County in the Panhandle of Nebraska, Banner County in the Panhandle of Nebraska, Southwestern Morrill County in the Panhandle of Nebraska, South Central Scotts Bluff County in the Panhandle of Nebraska, Eastern Laramie County in Southeastern Wyoming and Southeastern Goshen County in Southeastern Wyoming until 5:15 PM.

At 4:51 PM, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Wildcat Hills Campground to 8 miles southeast of La Grange, moving southeast at 45 mph.

Hazards are ping pong size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

Impacts are people and animals outdoors will be injured. expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows and vehicles. expect wind damage to roofs, siding and trees.

Locations impacted include Oliver Reservoir, Oliver Campground, Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area, Harrisburg, Wildcat Hills Campground and Bushnell.

This includes interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 9 and 10.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:

For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

The National Weather Service has issued Severe Thunderstorm Watch 253 until 2 AM Thursday, which replaces a portion of Tornado Watch 251. The new watch is valid for the following areas:

SEVERE WEATHER ALERT: Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect until 6:00 PM.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Southeastern Kimball County in the Panhandle of Nebraska, Northwestern Cheyenne County in the Panhandle of Nebraska until 6:00 PM.

At 5:22 PM, a severe thunderstorm was located over Dix, or 8 miles east of Kimball, moving northeast at 15 mph. a second thunderstorm was located over far northwest Cheyenne County. This storm was moving east at 15 mph.

Hazards are quarter size hail.
Source is radar indicated.

Impacts are damage to vehicles is expected.

Locations impacted include Potter, Dix and Brownson.

This includes interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 22 and 51.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:

This storm is producing large hail. seek shelter now inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in Cheyenne.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northeastern Kimball County in the Panhandle of Nebraska, Northwestern Cheyenne County in the Panhandle of Nebraska, Southeastern Banner County in the Panhandle of Nebraska and Southwestern Morrill County in the Panhandle of Nebraska until 3:15 PM.

At 2:14 PM, a severe thunderstorm was located near Brownson or 9 miles west of Sidney, moving north at 15 mph.

Hazards are quarter size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

Source is radar indicated.

Impacts are hail damage to vehicles is expected. expect wind damage to roofs, siding and trees.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of Northeastern Kimball, Northwestern Cheyenne, Southeastern Banner and Southwestern Morrill counties.

This includes interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 43 and 53.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:

A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, if one is spotted, act quickly and move to a place of safety inside a sturdy structure, such as a basement or small interior room.

SEVERE WEATHER ALERT: Winter Storm Warning in effect until 12 noon today.

Accumulating snow will continue through this afternoon.

Moderate to heavy snow is in progress across much of Southeast Wyoming and the Western Nebraska Panhandle this morning. several reports of 8 to 12 inches of snow have been received across parts of East Central Wyoming and the Northern Panhandle. An additional 4 to 8 inches is possible over the lower elevations today, with upwards of a foot or more over the high mountains. Significant travel impacts will continue across the region with very slick and snow-covered road conditions.A Winter Storm Warning is now in effect until noon today.For Timing, periods of moderate to heavy snow will continue through this morning.Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches.Winds/visibility, north 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph. Visibility may be significantly reduced in falling and blowing snow.Impacts are extremely dangerous or impossible travel with heavy snow and reduced visibility likely. Roads will be very slick and snow covered.Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring.  Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. only travel in an emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
