🌈 From the KIMBA Weather Center, this is your Weather outlook for the next week:

Gusty winds are expected this afternoon and into this evening, especially near any cell development. West to southwest winds may gust as high as 50 mph, resulting in periods of hazardous travel for high profile vehicles. Isolated thunderstorms are possible each day through the week with a higher coverage of thunderstorms expected for the weekend. The threat of severe weather is low at this time.

Here's the Forecast:

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms before 1am, then a slight chance of showers between 1am and 4am. Some storms could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds. Low around 41. Windy, with a south southeast wind 20 to 30 mph becoming north 5 to 10 mph. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 72. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 41. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north northwest in the evening.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 77. West southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. Breezy.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 71. Breezy.

Saturday Night: A chance of rain and thunderstorms, mainly between 7pm and 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. Breezy.

Sunday: A slight chance of rain and thunderstorms after 7am. Partly sunny, with a high near 63.

Sunday Night: A slight chance of rain and thunderstorms before 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 41.

Memorial Day: A slight chance of rain and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 71.

Monday Night: A slight chance of rain and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 46.

Next Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 77.

Next Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 49.

And Next Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81.

Here are Ways to prepare and stay safe now: 

Before hand:

Unplug electronic equipment.

Power surges from lightning can damage computers, monitors and Teeveez, and cause sparks that might start a fire.

If it is safe, bring in outdoor furniture and other items that could blow away.

These may become a hazard.

Stay inside a building or car that’s not a convertible.

Rubber tires won’t protect you from lightning so avoid touching metal inside the car.

Close windows, shutters, blinds, shades, and curtains.

This will help keep out wind, rain, and broken glass.

Make sure outside doors are securely closed.
