Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms today. Severe thunderstorm potential generally along the I-80 corridor between Laramie and Cheyenne. Strong winds will be the primary threat. Scattered showers and thunderstorms again Friday with severe weather potential east of the Laramie Range with hail and winds the primary threats. Afternoon thunderstorm potential continues through the weekend and into next week, though no severe weather is expected at this time. As temperatures rise over this period, will see rising water levels along our streams and rivers. Will also need to be mindful that even as temperatures warm, cold water along area waterways remains and that cold water shock has real potential. Lastly, hot forecasted temperatures will make it dangerous to leave pets and vulnerable family members unattended in cars for any period of time.
