Special Weather Statement:
Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Box Butte, Scotts Bluff, northwestern Kimball, northwestern Morrill, Banner, southwestern Dawes, southeastern Sioux, southeastern Goshen and northeastern Laramie Counties through 6:15 PM ...
At 5:32 PM, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Box Butte Campground to 9 miles southeast of Albin. Movement was east at 55 mph.
HAZARD: Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE: Radar indicated.
IMPACTS: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Strong thunderstorms will be near Hemingford around 5:40 PM.
Other locations impacted by these storms include McGrew and Melbeta.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
