Saturday marked the 4th annual Bushnell Day celebration as the community was bustling with live music, food and family-fun.

City Council Meeting on Tuesday Evening, August 19th, 2025

The City Council reviewed the final 2026 budget, which showed an increase in taxable valuation and included discussions of various department budgets including police, fire, and library operations. The council addressed budget adjustments for the library by reallocating sales tax funds and planning for lighting expenditures, while also considering staff increases for the police department. The conversation ended with discussions on makerspace operations, public comments regarding city services, and plans for an upcoming MOU with Keep Kimball Beautiful.

City Council Approves Zoning Changes

The City Council meeting covered several key agenda items, including the approval of rezoning requests and a conditional use permit for a commercial property. The Council approved Ordinance 842, rezoning a portion of land from R1 to C2, and subsequently approved the associated conditional use permit for storage units. They also ratified Ordinance 841, which rezoned a parcel from Rural Residential to Heavy Commercial, addressing a previous oversight. Saturday marked the 5th annual Bushnell Day celebration as the community was bustling with live music, food and family-fun.

104.3 KIMB's trip to Mary Lynch yesterday was topped off with a presentation of the great stuff the Kindergarten teachers bought with the $500 they won last spring from Stretch Across Nebraska with 104.3 KIMB, News Cahnnel Nebraska and Medica!
