Snow, blowing snow, and snow squalls likely today. Expect visibility to be significantly reduced especially in areas of heavier snow and blowing snow and slick roads. Please use caution when traveling. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect. Quiet conditions for the remainder of the week until the weekend when snow chances return.

Here's the Forecast:

Today: Snow showers likely before noon, then a chance of snow after noon. Areas of blowing snow. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 21. Blustery, with a north wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Tonight: A 30 percent chance of snow before 11pm. Patchy blowing snow before 8pm. Mostly cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 3. Wind chill values between -5 and -10. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Wednesday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 38. Wind chill values between -5 and 5. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 21. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 41. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 25 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 22.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 49. Breezy.

Winter Weather Advisory for Kimball and Kimball County Nebraska:

URGENT WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE:

SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY ACROSS THE PINE RIDGE FROM CONVERSE COUNTY WYOMING EAST THROUGH THE NORTHERN NEBRASKA PANHANDLE.

SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE NORTH LARAMIE, SNOWY, AND SIERRA MADRE MOUNTAIN RANGES THROUGH TUESDAY.

SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL ALSO DEVELOP ALONG A SMALL AREA IN EXTREME SOUTHEAST WYOMING AND THE SOUTHERN NEBRASKA PANHANDLE LATE TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM THIS EVENING.

* WHAT: Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE: Northern Laramie county, southern Platte and Goshen counties in Wyoming. The towns of Kimball, Harrison, and Sidney in the southern Nebraska panhandle. Snow amounts will be less in Cheyenne.

* WHEN: From 5 AM to 8 PM Tuesday Night.

* IMPACTS: Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could also significantly reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:
