🌈 From the Kimball Weather Center, Here is a List of Weather Forecasts and Current Weather:
A Blizzard Warning is in effect through tonight. Blizzard conditions are expected with snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches. Winds will gust up to 50 mph. Current winter weather headlines remain in effect through 6 AM Friday. In the further extended, the probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.
Here's the Forecast:
Rest Of Today: Rain showers possibly mixed with snow showers late in the morning, then snow showers in the afternoon. Areas of fog late in the morning. Blowing snow and widespread dense freezing fog in the afternoon. Very windy. Colder. Snow may be heavy at times in the afternoon. Visibility one quarter mile or less at times in the afternoon. New snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches. Highs 35 to 40. Temperatures falling into the upper 20s in the afternoon. North winds 30 to 45 mph. Gusts up to 50 mph increasing to 60 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.
Tonight: Areas of blowing snow and patchy fog in the evening. Cloudy with snow showers likely. Windy. Much colder. Lows 5 to 10. North winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph becoming northeast 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Chance of snow 50 percent. Wind chill readings 5 below to 5 above zero.
Friday: Cloudy with a 30 percent chance of snow showers. Colder. Highs around 25. East winds 10 mph shifting to the south 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Lowest wind chill readings 5 below to 5 above zero in the morning.
Friday Night: Mostly cloudy. Lows around 15. South winds 10 to 20 mph. Wind chill readings 5 below to 5 above zero.
Saturday: Partly cloudy. Not as cool. Highs around 45. West winds 10 to 15 mph.

Blizzard Warning for Kimball and Kimball County:
URGENT WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE:
MAJOR WINTER STORM TO BRING WIDESPREAD SNOW, WIND AND TRAVEL IMPACTS TO SOUTHEAST WYOMING AND NEBRASKA PANHANDLE THROUGH FRIDAY.
BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM FRIDAY.
* WHAT: Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. Areas near and around Sidney will be the last to switch over to snow, expected by noon today.
* WHERE: Areas along and southeast of a line from Douglas to Alliance. Includes the towns of Wheatland, Torrington, Cheyenne and Pine Bluffs in southeast Wyoming. Towns in the southern Nebraska Panhandle include Scottsbluff, Kimball, Sidney, Harrisburg and Bridgeport.
* WHEN: From 6 AM today Thursday to 6 AM Friday.
* IMPACTS: Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Conditions will be hazardous to livestock and newborn calves. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:
Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
WEATHER CANCELLATIONS:
Due to the weather, the school will not be doing meals today but will be doing double meals again tomorrow Friday.
The city snow emergency remains in effect until further notice tomorrow Friday.
Due to expected high snowfall amounts expected thru tomorrow Friday, March 20th, the City of Kimball has declared a Snow Emergency. They are asking citizens to not leave parked vehicles Overnight tonight Thursday, March 19th so the street department can clean those streets on our Emergeney Snow Routes.
The designated Emergency Snow Routes are:
1.) Chestnut Street from 1st Street to 4th Street
2.) 2nd Street from Howard Street to Oak Street.
Signs are posted on those routes.
