Special Weather Statement issued February 08 at 9:56AM CST by NWS

Elevated to strong winds are expected to ramp up across the NE panhandle. The winds will begin to increase this morning and continue through much of the afternoon. Expect winds 30-35 mph, with gusts up too 45 mph. Dry fuels, combined with gusty winds and low RH values will create elevated to near critical fire weather conditions this afternoon.
